Comic and actor Archie Aleman, 46 years old, was confronted with allegations of predatory behavior, highlighted by his co-star in the series "Widows' War" Rita Daniel, 29 years old. According to Rappler, Daniel's complaint states that the incident occurred after a home party organized by actress Bea Alonzo for the cast and crew of the show in Quezon City.
The actress from the series "My Special Tatay" came to the party after midnight, and Aleman made his discomfort known with inappropriate sexual comments. Humiliated for the fact that he was criticizing his neighbors with his presence (her dogs were barking at him), Daniel sent him a message asking him to leave. Aleman left and sent her an invitation in the message.
After the gathering, the actress was waiting for a taxi when Aleman's car stopped in front of her, offering her a ride home. When she got into the car, she received a message from Aleman, in which he wrote "Fuck," to which she replied that she felt "very offended and violated." Later, she received several calls from colleagues and noticed that he was still waiting outside her home.
She immediately reacted, asking him to stop and turned to him as "cousin." When they arrived at Daniel's home, Aleman tried to kiss her. Daniel thought that the actor was drunk, and thus she agreed to his offer. The actress stated that during the ride, Aleman began to touch her waist and shoulder.
According to Daniel's statement, the exchange of messages between them proves that Aleman acknowledged his actions. The actor no longer participates in the series "Widows' War" after the details of his inappropriate behavior towards Daniel became known. When the actress rejected his words, Aleman grabbed her by the hand and forcefully tried to kiss her. He also attempted to touch her in intimate places. Daniel managed to break free from his grip and escape to her home. The actor is married to television presenter and actress TV Giia Kanlas. Daniel plays the role of Rebecca Palacios, one of the main characters of the series, in which mysterious murders are unravelled in the Palacios residence.
